I Saw a Mine Cut Diamond Last Night

Last night I met a lovely woman that was purposed to with a Georgian style engagement ring from Doyle and Doyle. Doyle and Doyle is a jewelry store in New York that specializes in antique and estate sale jewelry. Her ring was rose gold with a very unique setting called a buttercup and a beautiful mine cut diamond set in the center. The stone had a lot of fire and luster.

Rings like this are often passed down from generation to generation. A tradition I fully endorse. If your looking for a antique heirloom ring in New York Doyle and Doyle is a great shop. There are many antique jewelry store out there, you just need to do your homework and look for store with a good reputation. Recently I was in New Orleans and found some really lovely pieces at the Silver Smith in the French Quarter for 1000-1600$.

One can also find many online stores like Circa 1930s that manufacture replications of antique rings . If you are shopping for an antique and estate ring don't exclude rings without diamonds, and make sure to get legitimate paper work appraising the stone.
